Description: | The Wide Net Project is a non-profit organization that supports restoration of the Chesapeake Bay and improved healthy food access for underserved communities. We achieve this by catching literally tons of wild blue catfish in the Bay, where it is overabundant, and then selling this delicious fish. In doing so, we reduce the blue catfish population, allowing the Bay’s native animals and plants to recover from being destroyed by this non-native fish. In the communities where orders are placed, we then provide additional fish below our cost to customers to food pantries. |
